DESCRIPTION: Using Short Stretch Bandages for compression in the Decongestive Phase is the cause for several challenges in the successful treatment of patients with lymphedema. By changing to Adjustable Velcro Wraps, these challenges can be decreased and a more successful outcome can be the end result. However, severall myths about AVW use abound. This video addresses several of these myths with peer-reviewed research that shows the benefits of AVW over Short Stretch Bandaging.
